Serene Waters Goa

The staff were friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed, and breakfast was good. Our room was a good size, with clean bedsheets. The river location and well tended terrace were lovely, though the floor, rug and bathroom needed a better clean. A proper deep clean and regular cleaning would make this a better place to stay for the price.

The food was good, and the staff and owners were very hospitable. It's a peaceful, quiet place surrounded by nature, and an underrated gem for a break.

I visited Goa for 4 days from Uttarakhand and stayed at Serene Water Home Stay. I liked it much more than I expected. If you're into angling or bird watching, this place feels like heaven. The food was very tasty, the service was good, and the staff were friendly and professional. The general manager has a great nature, and the owner was outstanding. They supported us a lot, and we had a very good experience with plenty to enjoy as a family. It's at a midpoint, so North Goa and South Goa are both easy to visit from here.

The location was good, but the food service was poor. The manager didn't care about what customers wanted and seemed to expect us to eat only what they had. They also won't provide cutlery if you order food from outside. I arrived before 1 pm with my family, and they wanted chicken biryani from the homestay menu. The manager said they couldn't cook for 2 people and told us to eat Chawal Machi, which he was already eating in front of me. I asked if I could order food from outside, and he said yes. But when I asked for cutlery, he refused. I decided not to stay there.
