Oyo Townhouse 331 Vat Hotels

Free Wi-Fi was the only good thing here. At 2000 a night, the rooms weren't worth the money: cramped for more than two people, with dirty, stained sheets, no toiletries, broken bed lights, and a broken bathroom exhaust. The lighting was very dim, and some lights flickered, which really strained my eyes. I had to call several times before room service came, and the extra quilt arrived late smelling of smoke and cigarettes. There were no complimentary hand or bath towels, just one dirty towel left on the table. Check-in was unpredictable and took about 45 minutes. The desk manager blamed guests who booked through another site because he couldn't collect the full amount for each room. We had clearly booked one room for three people, but staff hesitated to provide an extra bed. Breakfast service was pathetic: the kitchen manager argued with us about what was included and couldn't even provide butter with the paranthas. I'd recommend finding another hotel unless you're in a bind and can't find anything else nearby. The managers need to change how they do things.

The food arrived on time, looked nicely presented, and tasted good. The rooms were spacious, but they weren't swept properly and the bedsheets hadn't been cleaned well. The toilets and bathrooms need a deep clean each time a guest checks out.

The receptionist was very rude and not at all professional. My room and the washroom hadn't been cleaned, the TV wasn't working, and Wi-Fi didn't work either. They also didn't share the complimentary breakfast information at check-in. Really bad experience.

They refused to let me check in unless I paid more, like every other OYO. I had booked for double occupancy in advance, and they knew I couldn't cancel without losing my advance payment. I was there with a guest and felt I had no choice, so I paid. When I called customer care to complain, they wanted me to move to another property. The room they finally gave me was in terrible condition, and I have a picture of it. This was my worst townhouse experience. Next time I'll book somewhere else, and I won't book Oyo again.
