UDS Villa - Next to VFS, Walking to Connaught Place

Uncle Mishra was lovely, and Rohit Kumar helped us a lot. Kajal was very accommodating, including with transport to the places we wanted to go. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the friendly team and good mix of local and foreign guests gave the place a nice feel. The location was excellent. I'd stay here again.

The rooms weren't clean, and even toilet slippers, a basic amenity, were missing. For somewhere claiming to be 3-star, I found the stay very disappointing and overpriced for the quality and service.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the toilets are roomy too, with hot water available 24/7. In the room we had an electric kettle, TV, hairdryer, water bottles, and tea and coffee. Room service and laundry are available, and breakfast was decent. The front desk was helpful. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Connaught place, right in the heart of Delhi. There's a vegetarian restaurant on site, but no alcohol is served and there's no in-house taxi service, so Uber is best.

The card worked everywhere else, so being loudly accused in front of other guests of having a maxed-out credit card when the front desk machine malfunctioned was completely untrue. My family was with me and handled the situation, but the staff were rude. The room setup was poor too. The towels felt coarse, there was no working iron or ironing board, and the only outlet for the hair dryer was right by the bed. That would make a wedding or other special event especially stressful. I can't understand UDS Hotel's high rating after such a disappointing stay, and wouldn't recommend this B&B.
