Gem Park Ooty

The hotel's warm hospitality is what would bring me back. Mr. Suresh, Anne, Anish, and Krishna were especially accommodating, and the Toda/Jade restaurant chef and manager went out of their way to meet our needs. The facilities were enough for a weekend stay, and the location was excellent. A very nice place for a weekend outing.

We had a comfortable two-night stay in rooms 214 and 215, with a good view over town. Higher floors might have an even better one. The rooms were clean and maintained, with the necessary amenities and Wi-Fi, and the in-room service staff were helpful. Food was very good, with a mix of North and South Indian dishes, and breakfast is worth having. The bathroom had a typical unpleasant smell, so exhaust fans and sanitizers would help. The location gives a nice view of the town, but you’ll need a vehicle to shop in town at your convenience or handle a medical emergency. Concierge service is available when needed. I’d rate it 4.5 out of 5.

Being near the main tourist spots made it easy to get around, and we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay at Hotel Gem Park, Ooty. Our room had a lovely view, the food was well prepared, and the service was pleasant. Check-in ran about 15 minutes late even though we arrived after the scheduled time. It was peak season, so that small delay was understandable. We’d definitely recommend the hotel.

Angel and Vinod really stood out for their warmth, attention to detail, and willingness to help. They went above and beyond, and the Toda Café team were consistently attentive and courteous too. The buffet breakfast had plenty of fresh choices each day. Our aged parents chose to stay back at the hotel, and the staff personally served them food, a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us. We stayed at Gem Park Ooty from 1st to 4th December and had a pleasant, memorable trip. We’d happily return. Thank you, Gem Park Ooty.
