Meraki Maison

The room is beautifully designed inside, with a shared lobby, and the stay feels aesthetic and compact. It’s in the middle of things, but a little inside from Ooty town. Breakfast was delicious and included. Lunch and dinner are available from a small set menu, and you need to order 30 to 45 minutes ahead. Whenever we called, no matter the time, someone answered and responded pleasantly. We enjoyed our stay. It’d be helpful to have a leaflet in the room listing nearby tourist spots and their distances, as well as a menu card in every room.

The rooms have a quaint storybook feel, with four-poster beds, spotless washrooms and great service. Krishna and Feroz were thoughtful and kind through my six-day stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and the food was consistently delicious while still being healthy. Ooty stays get expensive during peak tourist season, and Meraki Maison offered a comfortable, clean option at an affordable price. It doesn’t have the views people expect in Ooty, but the staff, food and service more than made up for that. I left with a memorable experience.

The rooms are really cozy, and the staff are attentive. Breakfast was a great spread, with dosa made live, tea prepared to your preference, and bhatura available as requested. Mr Kevin and the rest of the staff were always there when we called. The rate is a bit high, but the room, food and service justify it. Keep this place on your list if you’re staying in Ooty.

The team at Meraki Maison were extremely helpful and took good care of us throughout our stay. We were well accommodated, and the food was outstanding, with a choice of cuisines. We loved the experience and would definitely come back.
