The layout runs from ground level down two floors. Staff explained before check-in that the premium rooms are on the ground floor and the deluxe rooms below, and they were kind enough to show us the rooms. There’s only limited car parking. They don’t accept Agoda bookings, though they do take Booking.com and one other site, so check before booking. The cook wasn’t available, and they suggested Swiggy. Hot water is available from 7 to 10, morning and evening. I only spoke with the staff briefly, but they seemed nice. Card payments weren’t accepted; GPay worked.

Tap water was a daily problem during my four-day stay, and guests in other rooms were dealing with the same issue. Room service was very poor. The complimentary breakfast was okay in quality, but once it was set out on the buffet, nobody seemed to check whether it was hot or cold. In Ooty’s low temperatures, that matters. The rooms themselves were good. Property Manager Mr. Subhash was very efficient and managed things as well as he could. Still, it was a bad experience overall.

We were completely satisfied with our stay, and Mr. Raj, the manager, was very helpful. At the last minute I asked for room decorations for our anniversary night, and the team helped me a lot. Mr. Nisam was also a big help at check-in. Thanks to Mr. Raj, we had an awesome celebration on our special day. I’m sure guests who stay here will have an excellent visit.

The hotel was easy to check into and out of, with no delays, and our overall stay was good. Most rooms are one or two levels below the lobby, so don’t expect a room view. The restaurant does have a city view. Breakfast was average, mostly idly, dosa, bread, upma or paratha, and tea. Hot water is available for four hours in the morning and three in the evening. We stayed from Sept 29 to oct1. You can approach the hotel by two routes, one of them deserted and the other fine. Preethi palace, abhinaya, and Nahar hotel are about a 10-minute walk away, and their food was somewhat better than at other places. I’d recommend the hotel.
