The duplicate charge was the last straw. I was billed twice by mistake, and when I asked for a refund, they casually said it could take more than a week, with no proper explanation. That’s completely unacceptable. A payment error like that should be fixed straight away. The rest of the stay was just as disappointing. My room wasn’t clean at check-in, with dust on the surfaces, unclean linens, and an unhygienic feel overall. For the price, I expected basic cleanliness. Staff were slow to respond, and raising concerns several times didn’t get them properly resolved. Even simple requests took far too long, and the team showed little courtesy or professionalism. The experience fell well short of expectations. I strongly wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially with better and more professional options nearby.

The room was missing a table and chairs for eating, and ordering from Zomato was restricted. There was also construction noise during our stay. The sheets seemed like they hadn’t been washed in a long time, and the food wasn’t satisfactory, especially for a hotel on top of a hill. Basic facilities were lacking. There was no dustbin when I entered, so I had to ask for one, and the heaters didn’t work well despite costing an extra 600 per day. The staff seemed unfamiliar with hospitality and more concerned with collecting the room rent. The rooms weren’t up to expectations. I’d say avoid this place as much as possible.

Anand was helpful with everything, from room cleaning to the other services. The hotel offers room heaters for a minimal charge. It’s one of the best hotels for good service on a good budget. We had a very good experience. I’d recommend a hill view room for the best view of Ooty.

There weren’t any leisure activities, and campfires weren’t allowed after 10 pm. We also found that the heaters weren’t working and there were no clothes hangers in the washroom. We hope they’ll look into these issues for future guests.
