Valley View Studio Adasholai by OYO Rooms

We booked four rooms and stayed for one day. The linens and bathrooms were spotless, but breakfast and dinner choices were very limited. The address shown for the property is wrong, and finding it at night was a bit of a struggle. Only a few of the 16 rooms have great views. Those rooms are small, and there isn’t much privacy since conversations from neighboring rooms carry clearly.

The bed was crawling with bed bugs, and we spent the whole evening and night in darkness because one room had no power. Nobody was at the property to fix it. We tried every assistance number listed, but no one answered and our calls seemed to be rejected on purpose. They also gave us a different room from the one we had booked. OYO cheated us, and customer care never responded. The stay was horrible. This place doesn’t deserve even one star. Avoid it if you don’t want your vacation ruined.

I went in February and found the rooms neat, with helpful staff. The views over Ooty and a carrot farm are breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner can be arranged on request. The food price seemed steep at first, but compared with other restaurants it was reasonable, unless you want local food from the main bazaar. Good value overall, and I’d recommend it.

The rooms are a good size, and there’s a private garden with lots of greenery and flowers. It’s about 5 km from central Ooty, but the view from here is exactly what I was hoping for.
