The one downside was the monkeys, which could disrupt the Wi-Fi. The staff were quick to restore it whenever that happened. Aside from that, the place is serene and peaceful, with tall green trees, soft grass, a well-kept entrance and lawns, and rare plants and flowers throughout. Each tree has its name written on it, and the mango trees were full of raw mangoes. This used to be a government office serving as the British government's summer capital office, and was later converted into a resort. It's maintained much better than other government rest houses I've seen. The staff are dedicated and hospitable, and the manager and team deserve thanks for running it so well. Rooms are very large with high ceilings; the washrooms are clean and hygienic, and toiletries are provided. The pool is regularly cleaned and well maintained, with greenery around it.

The food was a highlight, with plenty of tasty choices, and the restaurant staff and chef were happy to serve. Service was quick, cleanliness was up to the mark, and the staff were polite and friendly. Thanks to GM Mr Alok Saksena for being so helpful, and to the Champak Bunglow, Panchmari team for making our trip pleasant.

We've stayed at Champak Bungalow many times, and this visit was especially lovely. The lake view room was elegant, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. Mr. Advani ji having stayed here adds to its heritage charm. The service was excellent, and the bonfire set up near our room made for a warm, relaxing evening. Thanks to Madhya Pradesh Tourism for looking after such a graceful heritage property.

The garden and landscaping are beautifully cared for, and the attention to detail shows across the property, from the plants and flowers to the rooms, food, and staff. The rooms are very well appointed, the bedding is perfectly clean, and the toilets are world class. The food is consistently 100/100, with excellent variety, so I highly recommend a package that includes all meals. I want to thank the person responsible for keeping and running this property so well. This is clearly the best hotel run by a government organization anywhere in India. Everything about it is perfect.

We had a great family vacation at this beautiful, well-kept property in the Panchamrhi, and I'd recommend it. There was green scenery all around, and the lawns and landscaping were very well maintained. Our lake view room, number 04, was spacious, with a living area and one shared toilet with two doors, accessible from both the living area and bedroom. I'm sure the other room categories are spacious and clean too. From the lakeside rooms, you get lovely views of Champak lake and a calm atmosphere, even in April, with a cool breeze in the evening. There was a play area among the trees that kids would enjoy, and we even spotted an Indian giant squirrel. The staff were very helpful and kept reminding us to shut the doors because monkeys were all around and might come in if a door was left open. The buffet food was awesome, with plenty of dishes at every meal, and the restaurant staff were amazing and served us wholeheartedly. Housekeeping, other workers, and gardeners were around keeping the rooms, pool area, lawns, and grounds clean and tidy. The central lawn is big enough for corporate events and parties. Our package through MP tourism included all three meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for three nights, for 3 adults and one 3 year old. I booked directly with the property manager, Mr. Mukul, who was supportive during advance booking. The one disappointment was check-in: I'd been in touch about arriving early, and he said the room would be ready, but when we got there at 10 in the morning, it wasn't ready and he couldn't give it to us before the 2 o'clock check-in time. So we had to wait at reception with my 3 year old kid and my 60 years old MIL. Apart from that, the property was a much-needed vacation spot. Awesome food, amazing views, spacious rooms, lush green landscape, great hospitality, and very helpful staff. 10/10.
