Pandav Retreat

We spent three nights in a suite with our two children, aged 8 and 2, and had a fantastic family stay. The room was spacious enough for them to play without feeling cramped. Staff were well trained, proactive, and quick to sort out the minor issues we raised. After touring around the city, the rooftop was a nice place to unwind, and breakfast each morning was very good. Parking is the one small drawback: spaces right in front can be tight, and the nearby approach ground has open parking in the sun. Highly recommended for families.

The room was clean and well maintained, though for its size we thought it was a bit pricey. From the front there’s a great view, but construction work is going on at the back. Pandav Retreat has a cozy European-style villa design, with a pleasant outdoor dining area that feels like a European cafe, only nicer. Both the ground-floor outdoor food area and rooftop have a great ambience. Staff were very polite, helpful, and quick with service, going out of their way to improve the stay. Meals are freshly cooked, even the soups, and the good-quality food can be made to your taste. It may take 20-25 minutes, but it’s worth the wait.

For what they charge, this was a very poor stay at Pandav Retreat. We had told the hotel our arrival time well in advance and even got a call before reaching, but reception had no clear idea about our booking. After a tiring journey to Pachmarhi, we waited a long time for our rooms. The rooms were disappointing, with poor cleanliness and inadequate housekeeping. Noise from a nearby room kept us from resting properly, and one of the two air conditioners didn’t work. Meals were below average, and not worth the tariff. Staff behavior came across as indifferent and unprofessional. The hotel entrance was unpleasant, the room views ordinary, and the experience didn’t justify the cost. At the same budget, there are much better Pachmarhi options for service, food, cleanliness, and ambience.

Jeetu Rajput took care of everything before we had to ask, with things ready ahead of time. The service and hospitality were top notch, and we had no complaints. A very good stay.
