Hotel Bright Palace

The rooms are very small, but that’s what you get at this budget property. The service was the best in town. All three service boys and the Cook were humble and down to earth. The food tasted like home cooking, and Kahawa, which I’d never tried before, is a must. I saw some negative past reviews, but our group of 25 stayed for two days in eight rooms without any arguments with the manager or owner. It was a pleasant stay, close to nature.

I had a lovely stay. The staff were gentle, and the location is perfect if you want somewhere quiet and calm. It is a bit away from the main market.

For the price, this budget hotel is a great deal, especially since we got it for even less in person than the online price. The rooms aren’t very good, though they’re fine at this price. When we visited, the kitchen wasn’t operating, so they only had tea.

It’s a small family hotel with a peaceful atmosphere. The manager, Mr Umar, was very cooperative, and the home-cooked food could rival some big restaurants. The location is about a 15 minutes walk from the market and around 5 mins from the river. Electric blankets and 24 hrs hot water were a blessing, and the rooms have a good mountain view.
