Hotel Himalaya House

The views from Himalayan House were breathtaking, and the food was one of the highlights, delicious, comforting, and home-like. We had an unforgettable stay in Kashmir. The resort staff were exceptional, friendly, patient, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warmth made us feel comfortable, especially receptionist Ms. Arshima, who was lovely and helpful. I highly recommend Himalayan House for a memorable stay.

The hotel’s location was the best part, with a stream of water running through it. The reception and staff were excellent, especially Abid, and the hospitality was above par. Our rooms were neat and clean, housekeeping stayed on top of things, and the team always responded promptly. Looking forward to coming again.

The hotel is in a beautiful place, and I didn’t step outside the premises once during my two days there. Rukhsaar was absolutely sweet and would get us anything to eat, no complaints about him. The food was hands down the best on my whole Kashmir trip. I only took one star off the rooms because the heating is limited.

We were grateful that the owner and GM trusted us to book without paying an advance, which matters when reserving a Kashmir stay from abroad. They were responsive and cooperative, took special care of us, and even arranged breakfast on the hotel lawn on our departure day. That was an amusing experience. We spent two nights at hotel Himalaya house during our June 2024 Kashmir trip. It’s in a quiet spot beside the river with lovely natural views, and the rooms and service were excellent and up to the mark. We were fully satisfied, though the washroom wasn’t modern and the balcony lacked privacy. The GM and owner said they would renovate the washroom and take steps to make the balcony more private. I highly recommend the property and am sure a stay here will be memorable. We’ll fall in love with it.
