The resort is surrounded by beautiful scenery and has lovely views that immediately made us feel relaxed. Our recent stay at The Chinar Resort & Spa, Pahalgam was delightful, and I'd happily visit again. A good choice for families, couples, or anyone after a serene getaway.

The hotel sits a little outside Pahalgam town in a serene spot, with views of the river, mountains, and glaciers. Rooms have all the amenities, though the floors are a little slippery. There's an outdoor area and a small game room for entertainment. The food was OK.

We booked ten rooms for our group and found the stay satisfactory, but the property wasn't flexible about group bookings. For a reservation of this size, hospitality businesses commonly consider a benefit such as a complimentary room for a tour leader or tour executive. We asked, but they didn't offer that or an alternative adjustment. Flexibility and awareness of industry standards matter to travel professionals and group organizers choosing a property. We hope management will consider more accommodating group booking policies in future.
