Jahangir Cottage Pahalgam

The staff were very cooperative and helped us a lot throughout a great stay. They arranged a room heater and found affordable car drivers for all the spots, as well as our return to Srinagar. Their hospitality was top notch.

The place is centrally located in Pahalgam, with plenty of restaurants nearby and no road noise. The room had a great window view, comfortable beds, and electric heating. In peak winter, though, the bathroom had no tap water because the whole pipeline was frozen. When we called, Mr. Jahangir and his staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, arranging a bucket of hot water within five minutes. I paid a very affordable, nominal price for the room, and my five-star rating is based entirely on that cost. For the best booking deal, contact Mr. Jahangir directly one day ahead.

We were a family of three and arrived on 29th April, just after the tragic incident. The hotel is in the main market. The rooms and washroom were good, service was good, and the staff behaved very well. You may not get a view from the room, but step outside and there are fantastic views. I hope things improve quickly. Pahelgam is a beautiful place.

The location is perfect, very close to the main market, and the family room can comfortably fit four people. Mr Jahangir and his father Mr Gulam Mohammed are wonderful people. Spend some time with Mr Gulam and you can learn about the area's history. There is also a shared bathroom and toilet, with an Indian seat in the toilet.
