The hotel itself is good, but the parking area is awful. The powdery sand and dust gets all over the vehicle and into our lungs.

The room was dirty and smelled bad, and the bedsheets clearly hadn’t been washed. It was nothing like the housekeeping, clean linen, and 24-hour security described in the amenities. We arrived at Hotel Ammbadi at 4:30 AM to find no power and nobody at reception. Using a phone flashlight, we found a man asleep under the desk and woke him; he seemed lost and called someone else, possibly the receptionist, who took nearly an hour to show up. That person couldn’t find our booking and kept asking how we had made it, seeming untrained in basic procedures. After all that, a local man in dirty clothes took us to the room, which felt very unprofessional and unsafe. It was a nightmare and not worth the money. I’d strongly advise people to avoid this hotel.

Across from the town bus stand, with decent rooms at a low cost and staff who behave well.

The rice meals were awful. The rice arrived cold, like it had just come out of the fridge. We’d been wondering why serving took so long, and understood once the food came.

The room was okay, but the TV had no working picture.
