I booked an AC room a month ahead through a YHAI reference. At check-in, the receptionist said it wasn’t available and admitted they’d overbooked. They tried to put me in a standard non-AC room, with no refund or other arrangement offered. If you want a hassle-free trip, I’d avoid this hotel.

My plans changed, but I couldn’t cancel the booking I’d made through Goibibo. I couldn’t reach the hotel by phone, and now the system marks me as “stayed” while the hotel refuses a refund. I wish I could give this a minus rating. Beware of this hotel.

We ended up staying at a nearby guest house. We’d booked an AC room through the youth hostels partner portal, but when we arrived, they said only a non-AC room was available. The person there wasn’t apologetic and acted like they didn’t care.

It’s about 0.5 kms from Dona Paula beach, so the location is good. The bathrooms were clean, though old, and the rooms themselves are very old too. An okay place for a day or two.

There are lovely sunrise and sunset views from the hotel, and it’s in a safe, secure area with easy access to the main road. Nearby you’ll find dry fruits, a bar, rental bike shops, and a restaurant. It’s a budget hotel with the basic amenities, close to Dona Paula beach.
