Tesero Villa by OYO Rooms

It’s in a quiet residential area, with no outside view. Room service was good, the breakfast tasted nice, and the staff were cooperative. They sometimes charge for early check-in. I’d choose it if I only needed a room.

Carol, the caretaker, spoke to us and greeted us well, but one of the other caretakers was stupid and the hospitality wasn’t great. The food was nice. Housekeeping fell short, as nobody even asked about cleaning the room.

Getting there was a struggle: the villa had no name listed on OYO, and OYO’s help finding it was poor. We did get checked in eventually. It’s well maintained, and you can rent all of it or just part. There’s a kitchen, plus a smoking spot on the terrace since it’s a no-smoking zone. The hall has AC. Some second-floor rooms don’t have attached bathrooms, while there are rooms with attached bathrooms on the first floor. The maintenance guy said there were no keys and didn’t hand over the keys to our room, which was a downside. Still, we had a great stay apart from that. It could work for bachelor parties or joint family visits, but it’s far from the bus stand and public transport is very hard to find.

The place was clean and neat, and the service was good. My only issue was being given a room without an attached washroom. Everything else was good.
