Villa Donna

The apartment had loads of space and a really well-equipped kitchen, including utensils for cooking and serving, an induction hob, purifier, and sink. There was also a fully automatic washing machine, dining area, and sofa. The locality was the best in Goa, and I had a wonderful time. I’d especially recommend it for families with kids.

The price was premium, but my stay at Donna Villa Service Apartment in Goa was deeply disappointing. The room had a persistent musty smell, and there was visible moss on the bed’s headrest, as shown in the attached photo. Hygiene and general maintenance were very poor. I expected a clean, fresh, well-kept room for that price, and that wasn’t what I got. I strongly advise against booking, especially for families or anyone looking for decent service and a comfortable stay. Definitely not recommended.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the rooms here are amazing. Villa Donna feels like home, not like being in a hotel. It’s cozy and cute, the staff are efficient, and the owner is really caring. I also love the contrasting rooms with extended balconies. There’s so much space, and it won’t let you down.

I left without asking for anything, but after the way the owner responded to my feedback, I demanded a full refund. They denied it. The response felt disrespectful and arrogant, with no apology or regret. They said it’s a “service apartment not a 5 star hotel.” My experience was no service, no apartment, and more like a fleabag motel. The listing felt fraudulent, the service was poor, and ownership was rude. Let’s see what fresh excuses they come up with in response. The listing is misleading: this is just a room with a few facilities, not an apartment, and the balcony is there in name only. The location is out of the way, on a noisy road that you can hear from the room. I requested hygienic conditions but found a lizard in the room. There were no hand towels, tissues, or napkins. The AC was noisy, the bath towels felt like sandpaper, and the pillows were like bricks. There was visible fungus in the shower, and duct tape was holding the TV remote together. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, so watching YouTube meant repeatedly restarting the connection. Cleaning staff switched off the fridge, ruining the gelato I’d bought. There were visible stains on the headboard from past guests. An iron was listed as an amenity, but there wasn’t one in the room. When they finally arranged one on Sunday, it had a 16A plug and the room had no 16A socket. I had to buy one from Blinkit just to get ready and leave the villa.
