Bandhavgarh Tiger Resort

We arrived at 4 pm and stayed one day, and it was a memorable time. They arranged a campfire and provided what we needed for the cooking hub we brought, with only minimal extra charges. Dinner and breakfast were good. Anku and the other guys helped with service and organizing our fun trip. We loved the music too. Highly recommend for friends and couples. Worth trying in bandhavgarh for a 3/4 star experience. Book a suit room for a better stay.

My special day was ruined, and based on what happened I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I’d booked and paid in advance for a Deluxe Room at Tiger Heaven Resort after looking at the online photos and description. After traveling over 450 km since early morning, I arrived to find a room that didn’t match the expectations the listing had set. It wasn’t just a matter of different interiors, the condition, upkeep and presentation didn’t justify the advertisement. I refused to check in and told the staff, but even though I hadn’t taken my luggage into the room, they still asked me to go through unnecessary checkout formalities. There was no real assistance, accountability or meaningful effort to fix the problem. I repeatedly called and WhatsApped the booking manager and support team without getting a response. After waiting about 1.5 hours at reception, I had to find alternate accommodation myself. A hospitality business is judged by how it handles customer concerns as well as by its property, and this showed poor communication, unprofessionalism and very disappointing customer handling.

The stay was decent, but several things need attention. Our roti, rice, dal fry and tea were good, homely food, and the entrance and resort gave a good feeling. The rooms had been cleaned and mopped, but still smelled bad, maybe because dirty clothes were used for mopping. We checked several room types and rooms, and the same issue was there. The outside sofa chairs, restaurant table, room mattress and room table also weren’t maintained properly. Around 8:30 PM, someone suddenly started playing DJ music loudly. I called the manager, and they stopped it when the song ended. I could hear people chatting that someone had complained, and someone else saying they had asked and played it. I felt there might have been a group drinking outside and playing music, though it must have been approved at first. They should manage such things properly and politely. It felt risky for my family, though another family was there too. There was no geyser either. This could all be managed much more effectively.

The service was pathetic and hygiene was poor. We ordered one simple serving of peanuts and waited an hour. They also charged 120 rs for just two boiled eggs. Don’t waste your time or money here.
