The cottages sit among wild bamboo, with a water hole near the resort, so it really felt like being in a forest. At night I loved the cricket sounds, tall trees, and the smell of wet soil after rain. I'm a tiger and nature lover, and thoroughly enjoyed our two days at Maati Resort, Bandhavgarh. It has 12 well-planned jungle cottages, all with a private swimming pool, and city amenities while still being close to wild nature. The grounds, food, and forest setting made me want to experience the wilderness again. Thanks to Mr Prahlad and Mr Bharat for making us comfortable and arranging our forest safari, and to the friendly MAATI resort staff for making the stay memorable. It's pet friendly, which earns it extra points, and our golden retriever Maverick enjoyed sniffing around the wild grass and bushes. My husband, son, Maverick and I all had a great time. On safari we spotted two tigers, plus sambhar, spotted deer, wild 🦬 bison, peacocks, and migratory birds. I also felt lucky to hear local stories about tiger and elephant encounters from people living in Bandhavgarh.

There's plenty of room and facilities for badminton, basketball, table tennis, and billiards, making this a nice spot to enjoy with family or friends. The setting is very serene, and the staff were polite and helpful. The cottage electrical switches need maintenance, and the cables and joints on the outdoor walkway lamps should be insulated properly.

We waited more than five hours for the food we ordered in the evening, and by 11:16 PM it still hadn't arrived. There were no updates or apology, just a careless response and no urgency. The refrigerator in our two-bedroom section room also didn't work, and basic maintenance clearly needs attention. The service was extremely poor, with no sense of responsibility. Be ready for long delays, bad facilities, and frustration if you visit. There are better places nearby that respect guests' time. Our experience at Espri Marti Resort was terrible. Definitely avoid it.

Maati Jungle Lodge is quiet and gives you a real sense of nature. It was my first stay here, and I found the resort very good. Manager Mr. Prahlad Mishra gave exceptional support and service. I'd love to return, and it's a must-visit.

The resort has potential, but it needs proper management and maintenance. The pool was quite dirty, and there wasn't even a ball to use in it. The mini theater wasn't working either, so the activities were a letdown. It seems the place may have been good when it first opened, but it's aged and isn't being kept up properly.
