The staff sorted out our bathroom problem quickly, and the restaurant downstairs had good service and good food. The room was clean enough, though the pillowcases smelled a bit and we did have that bathroom issue. The hotel has changed its name to the Grand Rajvad. I recognized it from the building’s exterior design. A good, affordable stay overall.
It’s on the Patan to Deesa Highway, and the Punjabi food is very good. Service was prompt. It does get a bit hot since there’s no air conditioning, though they have lots of powerful fans.
I made my booking online through Booking.com, but when I arrived, the hotel person said no booking message had come through from Booking.com, which seemed highly impossible. They also said no rooms were available. Luckily it was only 8 PM, so I managed to find another room. The hotel owner’s behavior was highly unprofessional.
The place was dirty, and they didn’t give me breakfast even though it was included in the Booking.com offer. The staff were nice and polite, but the hotel manager was very unsupportive. A bad stay, totally not recommended.
Such terrible food, and it was stale. In my 25 years, I’ve never had food this bad anywhere. The service gets zero, and the money was completely wasted.
