From the window you can see the mountains and dam, and the view from the big balcony keeps changing. The resort has a forest-like feel, but with city comforts. The rooms are large, and the whole place is peaceful and beautiful. The cook and host are warm, accommodating people who share ideas for places to visit and go the extra mile to make your favourite food. The food tasted great and the portions were generous. It’s up on a hill, and there really isn’t another restaurant in that location like this one. I can’t wait to come back.

The cook does a good job with local dishes, and the food was freshly made, hygienic, and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are reasonably good for the price, too. With nature all around, staying here felt like a home stay or resort in the best sense. I’d strongly recommend it to anyone heading to Koyna.

The support team were caring and helpful. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and armchairs, and a full supply of tea, coffee, dry milk, and drinking water. The fan and AC worked well, and the wi-fi was okay. Dinner was delicious, especially the egg masala with Konkani wade and paneer pakoda. But the balcony views were the real magic. The evening valley was beautiful, and in the morning it felt like a fairy tale: the sky gradually brightened as the sun rose, while clouds gathered over the lake and spilled over the dam into the valley, covering the trees and grounds. Unforgettable.

The restaurant serves fresh, flavorful home-style Maharashtrian and Indian meals, though the menu is limited. Guests also have options for nature walks, treks, bird-watching, fishing, and bonfire evenings. The staff are often praised for warm, personal service that adds to the homely feel. Rooms are spacious and well ventilated, with balconies or lawns facing the backwaters, but the décor is basic and some rooms show wear. Wi-Fi and mobile signals may be weak in this remote spot, which can suit a digital detox. Facilities are modest, so anyone wanting spa services or modern luxury may be disappointed. For people looking for a quiet stay amid nature, though, it’s a peaceful boutique retreat in the hills of Koynanagar near the Koyna Dam. Fresh mountain air, lush forest, and panoramic views of the Koyna backwaters are its main draw, and it can make a scenic weekend break from Pune or Mumbai. Accommodation includes Deluxe Rooms on the ground and first floors. It’s best suited to couples, families, and small groups who value nature, simplicity, and local hospitality over five-star comfort.

The location is good, but the property’s maintenance seems badly neglected. Food quality was just so-so, while the accommodation charges and food bills were high. I wouldn’t recommend it.
