Hotel Archana

Good value, and the hotel is right beside the Bus stand. There's a decent restaurant on the 2nd floor, plus a bar on the ground floor serving snacks and food. Calling them to book directly is cheaper than Make my trip and similar sites. With a direct booking, checkout is 24 hrs; through MMT and such, checkin is 2pm and checkout is 12 noon.

The room was neat, but the bedsheets looked yellow and possibly dirty or unwashed, and there was no blanket or quilt. The online listing showed complimentary breakfast, and they told us it was included when we called to book. But after the booking changed, hotel personnel said there was no free breakfast for 2 people. We paid for 1 room for 1 adult and 1 kid, and neither of us got breakfast. They said only water was complimentary. Biscuits or anything else from the room would be charged.

The room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned when they gave it to us. When we tried to sleep, the bed was crawling with insects. Nobody should stay here.

I haven't been inside myself, but clients who've stayed here have told me good things about it. They say Bombay hotel across the road is a good match if you're vegetarian.
