The beach was clean and not crowded, and there was plenty of seating for relaxing by the water. We especially enjoyed the evening tea stall, with great tea and local snacks. The location is a real highlight, one of the best beachfront properties we’ve visited in Kasaragod. The staff were very friendly. Mr. Lakshmanan at the main gate went out of his way to clean our car before our next drive. Mr. Damodaran, on beachfront security, kept an eye on the children and gave us peace of mind. Restaurant service was great, though we found the food a little costly and only decent. The room facilities were good, but the building is showing its age. We also found the balcony layout less private because the divider between balconies is slotted instead of solid. Still, it was a really pleasant stay, and I’d recommend the resort to anyone visiting the area.

The taxi we’d requested a day before check-in arrived more than 30 minutes late, so travel coordination could be more punctual. Apart from that, we had a peaceful stay in Bekal, with lovely greenery and a direct path to a beautiful, clean private beach. The buffet had plenty of tasty choices, and the staff at reception and in the restaurant were courteous and professional. Complimentary tea by the beach was a nice touch. Chef Vinod was particularly kind and attentive. He checked with us several times about our meals, prepared dishes as requested, and offered customized options, especially seafood. He also arranged special food for our toddler, which made things much easier and more comfortable.

We loved the private beach, which was calm and clean, and the high tea beside it added to the holiday feel. The room was spacious and spotless, with thoughtful touches like a place to hang towels and dry wet clothes. The indoor pool in the room was a unique feature, kept very clean, and our toddler had a great time splashing safely. The vegetarian food was delicious and satisfying at every meal. It’s unusual to find a resort that puts so much care into vegetarian choices, and they exceeded our expectations. Thanks to the chef and team for accommodating my four-year-old’s special diet with a smile. From our warm welcome onward, we felt at home. Malabar Ocean Front Beach Resort in Kasargod, Kerala, felt like a hidden gem with a luxurious mix of comfort and natural beauty. I’d recommend it to families, couples, or anyone after a peaceful beach getaway.
