The washroom was dirty and smelled bad, and the staff were unpleasant. For the price, the room was awful. I'd say book somewhere else.

The room was filthy, with dirty sheets, dusty floors, and a bathroom that was badly kept and had no hanger. There were no fresh towels or handwash either, and the dishes were greasy with food left from earlier meals. Oyo rules didn't seem to be followed, including the rule that guests couldn't leave between 9 pm and 5 am. Staff were rude to everyone, and none of them wore Oyo uniforms. There were no Oyo logos in the rooms, which made me wonder whether the place even belonged to Oyo. We had prepaid through the Oyo App and completed reception's signature and ID checks. The first room they showed us was too small for three days and didn't match the listing photos. Its window was broken, and the washroom was dingy. When we asked politely for a larger room, the receptionist was rude and said rooms for 499 would only be this size. We explained that we'd received an Oyo offer as first-time users and expected the hotel to consider our comfort. They said they'd move us in the evening, though plenty of rooms seemed empty. When we asked again, they said the room was being cleaned. Later, a staff member opened a room door while someone was already staying inside, without asking that person first. He then claimed the guest hadn't locked it from inside and showed us another room, which we took. After that, we realized none of the rooms could be locked from the inside. A person with a key could still open the door from outside, which made me worry about guests' privacy and safety.

Room 201 had no Wi-Fi, no soap or towel, and management wouldn't provide an extra mattress. The AC barely worked, the television and dressing table were broken, and there was a hole in the bathroom door with no hanger. The owner behaved roughly and the staff wouldn't cooperate. During an IPL match at Eden garden stadium, they charged 6000/- and even a 2 liter water bottle cost 45 rupees. A very bad experience and terrible hotel service 😔

There was no in-house eatery, and I found red ants and a spider in the room. I asked to change rooms because mine was dirty, but the staff member they called 'bachchan Pandey' insisted it was clean and said every room was like that. The bathroom didn't even have a mat, and they gave me no towel, soap, or mug. When I checked out, 'bachchan Pandey' asked me for tea money, though he'd been rude to me at check-in. Finding the place was difficult. There was only one signboard, and even the main entrance was hard to locate. The reception area was unclear, almost like walking into someone's sleeping area. The rooms were so tiny that opening the door left you having to jump onto the bed. The staff were rude and dressed as if they were at a drinking party, not even in clean clothes. They spoke only Hindi, no matter how I addressed them. I'm Bengali and don't know Hindi very well. Google Maps photos show the actual rooms, but the pictures on mmt, Oyo and other sites are a gimmick that can mislead you. I'd avoid the building. For all these reasons, it feels like a building rather than a hotel.

The one good thing is the location, about 10 minutes from Sealdah station, which works if you need to stay nearby overnight. Apart from that, the stay was poor. The rooms and bathrooms are small, and there's no kitchen or restaurant. You can bring your own food or eat outside. They'll order food from somewhere for you, but I suggest going yourself. Staff weren't welcoming and didn't greet us at reception. Don't book through the OYO rooms app, since its photos are from a different hotel with the same name. Not worth the price.
