Treebo Tryst Grand Emerald

The restaurant was a highlight. We had fish curry and rice, and the curry was very tasty with a good-sized portion. Breakfast tasted good too, though the choices were limited. The hotel is on the main Chinchwad road near KSB Chowk, so it’s easy to reach, but parking is limited. It’s one of the older hotels in the area and seems to cater mainly to business visitors. The rooms are small, with old furniture and an old-hotel feel; the bed wasn’t very comfortable, and the room wasn’t clean until we asked to have it cleaned at check-in. Service wasn’t good, and the ambience was just okay. Overall, the stay was okay.

Food is very expensive, and the noise made it impossible to sleep. I stayed two days and told the front office, but chairs and tables were being moved and cleaning was going on on the third floor from 11 pm until 1 or 1:30 am. Very bad.

I stayed for three days and was really disappointed with the hospitality. At breakfast, I asked how to use the electric toaster because it was new to me. The staff member rudely said, “Khud kar le bhai, self-service hai.” When I asked for water through room service, I was told, “Khud niche ake leja.” After paying such a high amount, that kind of treatment toward customers is completely unacceptable. It was one of the worst staff experiences I’ve had at a hotel.

The bathroom floor gets waterlogged, and the old kettle gives off a plastic smell. There isn’t hot water available around the clock. A very, very bad hotel and stay.
