The room was dirty and unhygienic. I even saw cockroaches crawling on the floor and inside the cupboard.

The manager and staff were polite and helpful, and getting around from here was easy. OYO 27740 Anantha Residency is near Pirangut Post office and easy to spot from the main road. My room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had the facilities I needed. I’d rate my visit 10/10.

Lunch and dinner from the restaurant at the back were good. The room itself was average, though it does have a small fridge if you need one. Breakfast was lousy, and the wait for it was unacceptable. I’d avoid ordering breakfast here.

The receptionist was kind and very helpful. I think his name was Deepak Rachmale, if I’m remembering right. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars; otherwise I would’ve given 2. I’d booked a “suite” because it was the only option available around New Year. It was a big room, but there was no balcony, and the place felt more like a lodge. Breakfast was just a tiny sandwich, some halwa, and chai.

Getting around from here is a problem because Ola, Uber, Swiggy, and Zomato don’t serve the area. The room has plenty of space for an extra bed for three people, and lots of plug points. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t served on time, and they didn’t provide tea at all.
