The host gave us a warm welcome when we arrived around 11 PM, which put us at ease despite the late check-in. We stayed in the Prism Room at Mel Ville Serviced Apartment, and it was clean, comfortable, and well maintained for the price. Housekeeping came the next morning even though there wasn’t much to clean, which showed care for guests. The host looked after us throughout our stay. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, caring place in Pondicherry.

The beach is within walking distance, and the homestay feels safe, quiet, and like a home away from home. The hosts treated us like family and gave my father genuine attention because of his medical conditions. We also had healthy, delicious home-cooked meals three times a day. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and had all the essential facilities. Highly recommended for families and elderly guests.

We were surprised by how well Mel Ville turned out. During peak season, most places we saw were exorbitantly priced, while this looked like a good deal. Anup and Mehak greeted us after our long journey with complimentary drinks and a home-cooked meal. They responded to every small request, helped us arrange travel when we needed it, and never made us feel neglected. The housekeeping staff were amazing, and the place was spotless. The location was another great surprise: rock beach is walkable, and the lively spots in pondicherry are within 2-3 km. It was easy to walk around and even better on a scooty, and the hosts helped us rent one. Anup and Mehak are lovely, kind, and polite. I’d highly recommend Mel Ville, and hope we get to return someday :)

The rooms and bathrooms at Mel Ville were spotless, and daily housekeeping kept everything fresh. There’s a good range of rooms, all clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully done. Anup and Mehak were wonderful hosts, always reachable on WhatsApp and generous with recommendations for cafes, shopping, pubs, and more. We also loved the complimentary lunch, especially the mutton curry and fish fry, which had a lovely Parsi touch. The location puts you close to Rock Beach and MG Road, right among the cafes and lively spots. We felt at home and already know where we’ll stay next time we’re in Pondy. 😊

The calm, welcoming atmosphere made it easy to relax, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well looked after. Housekeeping did a great job and everything felt organized. From check-in through check-out, the staff were courteous, attentive, and ready to help. The team really seemed to care about guest comfort, and I felt well looked after throughout my visit. I’d recommend this homestay and would be glad to stay again.
