OYO 7466 Le Beach

Service was good, though there weren't many staff. It's a handy spot for a one day trip, within walking distance of Rock Beach, and there's a separate bar. The rooms are small, and you can only turn the AC on or off, with no separate temperature control. Check the room before settling in, as there may be things like cigarette packets that aren't allowed in the hotel. Overall, a good experience for a short stay.

Management sorted out the water leaking from the AC within about 15 minutes. The rooms were quite clean, though the smell of smoke was a bit annoying. Apart from that, it was an easy, comfortable stay.

They let us leave our luggage and rented bike at the hotel for a while after checkout, which was helpful. The room was clean, and the hotel is close to White Town with underground parking. There wasn't hot water, but with Pondicherry's very hot weather, we didn't feel we needed it.

This wasn't worth the price, and I've never run into so many problems at once. The staff's replies to questions and requests were unprofessional, and room service was absent: we ordered coffee in the evening, reminded them many times, then finally went to the restaurant to get it ourselves. In the morning they didn't serve coffee or tea, even for an extra charge. The check-in took a long time despite there being no other customer. Our room was small, with an old towel that had turned almost brown, subpar sheets and covers, and loose switches. The AC didn't cool properly and the ceiling fan made an irritating noise, so I couldn't sleep. There was no hot water in the morning and the tap leaked.
