The rooms aren't fully soundproof, so privacy can be an issue, especially for couples. Still, I've stayed at Ram Guest House twice now, and the staff have been welcoming both times. It feels more like an old traditional home than a standard hotel, with a peaceful atmosphere and a sturdy, well-kept building. The facilities are fairly modern, including AC and a water heater. It's also conveniently close to White Town.

The beach is close enough to walk to, and the heritage-home feel gives the place good vibes. The rooms are decent for the price, and it's a cosy option for a stay of 3-4 days or even weeks. Seems suited to older guests, families, or anyone wanting a relaxed retirement-style stay.

Mr. Vijay Kumar, the manager, made a big difference with how friendly and helpful he was, always checking that things were right. The place itself was clean and comfortable, and the location in Pondicherry was really good. I had an amazing stay at Ram Guest House, and everything felt looked after. Highly recommend it if you're visiting Pondicherry.

No room service, and for anything you need they ask you to come and collect it yourself. There's no car parking either, and the road is a congested, busy market stretch. The room was very poor, though I did like the vintage style.

The rooms were clean and the linen fresh, and there are plenty of food options nearby since the hotel restaurant isn't operating. Parking is tricky because there's no dedicated lot. It's comfortable and close to white town, a reasonable choice for an average-budget Pondicherry visit with or without family.
