Treebo Golden Bliss

The staff made us feel safe and looked after. We were three girls, and the reception team was decent while the other hotel staff, many of them women, treated us really well. The rooms were comfortable and good for what we paid: clean beds, all the necessary amenities, working AC and TV, good Wi-Fi, and hot water in the shower. Breakfast and other food were available too. We stayed two days for a short Pondicherry trip. The location isn’t in a particularly attractive area, and getting an auto or cab from there wasn’t easy, but everything else about the hotel was very good. It was a really pleasant stay, and I’d recommend Treebo Golden Bliss to my friends.

The receptionist, Vasanth, was especially rude and unprofessional, and there was no helpful response or basic respect for guests. The way customers are treated here is unacceptable. My stay became stressful because he acted arrogantly instead of helping. I’ve never experienced such poor service, and staff behavior like this hurts the hotel’s reputation. Very disappointing, with no basic courtesy. I’d tell people to avoid this place if they expect respectful hospitality. Worst experience ever.

The rooms were clean, but the AC was in poor condition. Water dripped onto the bed by our faces all night, so we had to put a mug underneath it. When we reported it, reception just said they’d ask a technician to check. Parking was the bigger problem. We booked directly through Treebo and were told cars could be parked, but the small basement only holds about 3-4 cars and is also used by people visiting the ground-floor mess. Bikes took up space, and we never got a spot. At best, you might find a place on the roadside in the hot sun. Otherwise security tells you to park elsewhere and come back. Mess visitors’ cars blocked ours several times, and we had to shout at reception to get them moved. Hotel guests weren’t given priority for parking. I wouldn’t choose this place for a family trip with a car.

The room was clean and had the essentials, with a comfortable bed and housekeeping keeping everything spotless. Check-in was easy, and the staff were welcoming. Getting around was convenient too, with major attractions close by. The only drawback was that the room felt very small, though it didn’t spoil the comfort of my stay.
