A good pick for a boys’ trip if you’d rather keep hotel costs down and spend more on food and adventures. The location is prime 👍 The room and washroom were neat and clean, though there weren’t many amenities. The owner was friendly and really helpful.

Agoda showed a single room available, so I called reception to check. The man abruptly said there was no room and hung up while I was still trying to explain what I’d seen. I called back about how rudely he’d spoken, but he just kept saying “HELLO” and ignoring me. Other reviews mentioning rude staff seem 100% true. If they act like this on the phone, I can only imagine how they’d treat you after you’ve booked. Book at your own risk. NOT RECOMMENDED.

No Wi-Fi or mobile signal, no hot water or blanket, and no cleaning or parking. Housekeeping was extremely rude, with no maintenance or ownership. This isn’t a guest house, it’s hell!

It’s near the beach, but the room service was very poor. The receptionist and other staff were rude, there was no hot water, and the room had inadequate ventilation. Better to avoid this guest house.

My stay at Sri Sai Baba Guest House, at Shop No. 244, Jawaharlal Nehru Street, Opposite Lalitha Jewellery, Heritage Town, Puducherry, 605001, was a nightmare. Mosquitoes kept biting me all night, and the lack of ventilation made the room feel like a steam bath. The receptionist staff were rude and unhelpful, and their behavior was very unprofessional. There was a constant toilet smell that made it almost impossible to sleep. I’d booked a non-AC room, but even basic things were missing: the TV didn’t work, and although they said Wi-Fi was available, they never gave me the password. The bathroom had an Indian-style closet with so little room to sit properly that it was very uncomfortable, and it was poorly maintained. I strongly do NOT recommend this place to anyone.
