The staff were really friendly, and the food was great. We stopped here by chance on our way back to Chennai and ordered ghee podi masala dosai and an omelette. Both the taste and the quality and quantity were spot on. They also have plenty of non-veg options in the morning, and were open on Diwali. Nobody asked us to leave a review or pressured us, I’m writing this because we were so satisfied. If you’re driving along this highway, it’s worth stopping in.

We stayed at Vel’s residence for an exam and ate at Vels restaurant. The food came quickly, tasted good, and the portions were decent, with plenty of choices including meals, pizza, pasta, and Asian food. The one dish I’d avoid is the masala curry prawn, since the prawns were too small. It’s one of the best restaurants in Pondicherry, though the crowd of little kids yelling while people eat can be a lot.

Shivaraj was really friendly and looked after us well. The masala Kalakki was yummy, and the prawn curry and vanjaram fish curry went great with rice. The mutton biriyani was just average.

I ordered through zomato and it was a terrible experience. The food was poor quality, and it didn’t taste good at all. I wouldn’t recommend it under any circumstances. Better to go with copper kitchen.

I ate here ages ago, and when I came back to town years later, I wanted to enjoy the food again. It’s a good place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and they’re amazing at all three.
