Hotel Marina Manor

We stayed one night with family in Hotel Marina Manor, close to the airport in the market area. Our family room was very spacious, had good amenities, and came with two double beds. The hotel was beautifully decorated and well furnished. The food was tasty. We tried North Indian and Chinese vegetarian dishes, though the North Indian one was a little oily. The breakfast buffet had a reasonably good selection and was tasty. There was space at the back of the room to dry clothes. Service was okay, and we felt it was a good, safe place for a family stay.

The restaurant downstairs served really good food, and everyone there was polite and warm. My family and I stayed four days, splitting our time between a family room for one night and a regular room for three. The hotel is close to the airport, and the staff were helpful throughout. They even put on a small New Year’s Eve party. The Wi-Fi dropped out and ran a little slowly, but that didn’t cause us much trouble. We all enjoyed the hospitality at HOTEL MARINA MANOR.

The dining area mixes traditional decor with a comfortable modern feel. We found the rooms spacious, clean, and well kept, and the staff was very decent. The hotel is right in the heart of Port Blair, with easy access to places like CellularJail. There’s also a nearby market with a juice shop, fruit, and a department store, which made it easy to pick up things we needed during the trip.

Breakfast was the one bright spot, and the rooms were spacious enough. The geyser didn’t work, there were no towels, and the phone meant for calling reception was out of order. They say it’s a three-star hotel, but with a hoda service centre operating downstairs, that rating is a mystery to me. Without the food I’d have given it one star. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
