For our final day, we wanted somewhere comfortable to relax, so we booked Kalki ourselves. It was a fantastic stay: the staff were welcoming and the reception and room were both spacious. We’d booked our whole trip through Thrillophilia, but they had booked us at another hotel, Haywizz port Blair, and we felt cheated. The prices were similar, but everything at Kalki was 10 times better. Haywizz is misleading visitors by showing a swimming pool in general and on its Google listing, though they don’t have one in Port Blair. I feel Thrillophilia’s sales person misled me by showing Haywizz. I let go of the money I’d paid there and booked Kalki for a relaxing final day.

The worst part was how unsafe and poorly managed things felt. A random person let himself into my room with a master key card, and when I questioned the staff, they said he was a new employee. Housekeeping also wasn’t available from 3pm-6:30pm, and I had to ask separately for basic things like dental kits and hand towels. The location and the hotel’s look and feel were substandard. The complimentary breakfast and food in general were extremely average. I was dissatisfied with everything. For the amount charged for a below average room and service, I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here. Book at your own discretion.

The rooms are okay, but cleanliness wasn’t very good and the food options were poor. Don’t be misled by the photos on Google Images.

The service was prompt and good, and the staff were courteous. Food ordered through room service was good too. The hotel is close to the main market and Cellular Jail. Rooms are fine for a 3/4 star hotel, but don’t expect luxury or a big room.

It’s about a 2 km walk from Marina park and Tiranga point. We stayed here on our last day in Port Blair. The room and breakfast were okay, nothing special.
