The Tamarind Tree Hotel and Restaurant

The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel welcome throughout our stay at Tamarind Tree Hotel & Restaurant. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped, and the property was beautifully maintained, with a peaceful, comfortable atmosphere that suited the island vibe. We loved the ocean view from our room, especially waking up to it and enjoying it during the day. The restaurant was another highlight, with fresh, flavorful food prepared with care. Tamarind Tree is a wonderful Andamans stay, with comfort, beautiful views, good food, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended.

The main drawback is the limited space in front of the hotel. When a car arrives to pick up or drop off, you have to hurry a bit or mild traffic congestion can happen on the road. Otherwise, it’s a good accommodation option in Port Blair at a decent price. Rooms have the basic amenities and are well equipped, and the sea-view room is good too. If you choose one, try for a second-floor room. The hospitality was nice, and both the complimentary breakfast and other food were tasty. From the rooftop restaurant, you can see a wide stretch of the city and part of the Andaman Sea.

The day before my trip, they called and asked me to cancel a booking I'd made through the Goibibo app. I had called them before paying to confirm the reservation, and they said it was confirmed. When I reminded them of that call, they denied it and wouldn't answer my questions, just kept telling me to contact Goibibo. I still have the call logs. Be careful trusting them. They can deny what happened. Cheaters.

The hotel is quiet and feels safe, and the gentleman looking after it knows the islands well. It’s a deal worth taking.
