Hotel Vashistha by OYO Rooms

The rooms were very poor quality, and the service was pathetic.

We paid a huge premium during Maha Kumbh, but the service didn't match the price. I was travelling with my family. The first room had somebody else's half-eaten food plate in it (photo attached). I asked reception for another room, and the replacement had crushed linen that clearly hadn't been changed after the previous guest slept there, plus blood stains on the quilt (photo attached). No towel was provided, and I had to follow up repeatedly to get one. There was no mineral water bottle in the room, the tea we ordered never arrived, and we kept chasing our food order. When room service brought it, the rice was cold and the plates and cutlery weren't clean. The electricity in my room kept switching off because of a faulty main switch. The person at reception and the staff seemed to have no intention of providing good service. The only possible advantage is that the hotel is near Prayagraj junction. Avoid it if possible.

A comfortable budget stay with a good location. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and tidy, and the place worked well for a family. Staff were supportive. The only issue was mosquitoes, so bring mosquito repellent. Highly recommendable.

My parents stayed at Hotel Vashistha during their Maha Kumbh visit to Prayagraj. The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was tasty, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Warm hospitality and excellent service, with good value for money.
