I wouldn’t stay here again, even alone for a few hours. Housekeeping took at least 20-30 minutes to respond when I called, then told me, “sir ye to aise hi hai baaki rooms me bhi.” They also don’t let you order food from outside, and when I asked for an iron, they didn’t have one. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived at 2:45 pm, so I waited another 30 minutes. There was no geyser, towel, or handwash, and there were no dental or shaving kits either. I had to ask for a towel and soap. The towel smelled bad and had several big oil patches. The room smelled of alcohol and smoke, the washbasin was broken, and the toilet was dirty and yellowed. The TV remote was broken and the AC didn’t work.

The location in the heart of Civil lines was the highlight, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. My standard A/C room on the first floor was spacious, and the premises felt safe and hygienic. The food was good, room service was available, and the bathroom was tidy with hot water. The TV, AC, almirah, dressing mirror, and lift were useful, and the housekeeping and other staff were friendly. The price was poor value during my stay, since the room rent nearly doubled for Mahakumbh- 2025. There was no complimentary breakfast, and my room’s remote location meant I couldn’t get Wi-Fi access or signal. The narrow gallery also left the room short on natural light and ventilation. The hotel’s interiors could use some work, particularly the gallery, windows, and ventilation.
The restaurant was okay for food, but the wedding arrangements were frustrating. I’d booked and paid for rooms six months ahead, yet we weren’t given the rooms we had reserved. That anger and frustration spoiled my pre-wedding enjoyment. Room service was very poor too, and the stay wasn’t worth the money.
We got there fairly late at night, and the receptionist didn’t seem willing to give us a room. We were charged 2600 for two people, which felt overpriced for a room that was below the standard the hotel’s rates suggest.
The restaurant service was very slow, and management seemed short-staffed. The receptionist even made announcements over a mic that could be heard throughout the hotel. The rooms were awful and felt like a lodge. Toilets had no geysers, the showers didn’t work, some had Indian seats, and the toilet doors wouldn’t close properly. We’d booked around 20 rooms for a wedding. The location was prime, parking was decent, and they were flexible about checkout time. Still, the hotel is far too expensive for the service it provides.
