Stay Inn Hotel

The staff at Stay Inn Hotel made us feel at home when we were far from it. There are food stalls and shops right around the hotel, and it also has an internal cafe with tasty food at reasonable prices. We’d had a rough trip to Prayagraj by train, delayed four hours, and ended up stranded at the station in cold weather. My dad was exhausted, and I was worried about the facilities. We were visiting from Malaysia and had no Indian SIM card, but WiFi let me find the hotel, get its number and message on WhatsApp. It was nearly 9 pm, so I wasn’t sure anyone would reply, but a representative got back to us within minutes, confirmed a room was available, and sent a photo. They asked for a deposit; since I couldn’t pay online, I said I’d pay on arrival. They understood and welcomed us anyway. I’d recommend coming here for the same homely feeling we had. Thanks so much to Stay Inn Hotel for going the extra mile without expecting anything in return. Great job, guys.

If you’re in Prayagraj, this budget friendly place is worth a small detour. It’s decent and you can walk there from the railway station.

The rooms were dusty, and the nearby area wasn’t very satisfactory for finding food or other things. Staff were also far from professional. Breakfast was listed as complimentary and included a water bottle and tea, but neither was provided, which I only realized later. They knew I was checking out at 4 in the morning, yet my receipt wasn’t ready. If the hotel adds GST, guests should get a receipt.

Don’t stay here. For 1500, I got a tiny room with no proper ventilation, cockroaches, and pathetic service. The worst hotel.
