Townhouse Bairhana Road Prayagraj

My stay at Townhouse hotel was deeply disappointing. The receptionist asked me to cancel my booking for no clear reason, and the room was small, dirty, and poorly maintained, with stained bedsheets. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn't lock, the toilet had no spray, and there was no towel or water bottle. I can't recommend this hotel.

The manager was shockingly rude and arrogant. He dismissed genuine complaints instead of handling them professionally, and spoke to guests disrespectfully, as if we were doing him a favor by staying there. Staff were unresponsive too, and the service was pathetic. Management clearly doesn't care about guest satisfaction. The property was neglected, unhygienic, and poorly maintained. Bathrooms were disgusting, linens looked unwashed, and nothing matched the online photos or descriptions. There seemed to be no concern for basic hospitality or guest comfort. Calling this the worst hotel in Prayagraj barely covers it. Calling it a hotel feels like an insult to actual hotels. It doesn't deserve even half a star. I strongly warn families, pilgrims, and first-time visitors to stay away. There are plenty of other options in the city. Staying here could ruin your trip and waste your money.

Getting to Triveni, the railway station, and airport from here is easy, but everything else was awful. The property is in a galli with no food options nearby and no restaurant in the hotel. It's an OYO hotel, and the staff were especially pathetic, with no idea how to greet customers. The rooms smelled of phenol. For drinking water, they keep tap water in bottles, refrigerate it, and then charge for the bottles.

The food was delicious, and the hotel had a calm, welcoming feel. I felt at home there. My room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like fresh linens and quick room service. The staff were always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. Everything went smoothly from check-in through checkout. I’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone in the area.
