Think twice before booking here. Staff and the owner change the room rate without telling you, and paying OYO in advance could leave you wasting your money. They say with a lot of attitude that paying through OYO costs more than paying at the counter. Take that risk into account before you come.

We paid ₹ 2500 for a double-bed AC room and got no towel, tissue, hand wash, drinking water, breakfast or food. There wasn’t even a service phone to call an attendant. When we went to the counter at 8 o’clock to complain, they said, “We’re only just awake,” and “The kitchen is closed. Talk to the owner.” This is the place where 11 murders happened.

The rent is low, but the place felt cramped and tucked away, with an interior that didn’t suit visitors wanting to see Prayagraj (Allahabad). The rooms weren’t clean or hygienic, and the staff didn’t know how to treat guests. To me, it wasn’t worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend it to couples coming from far away. It seems suited only to solo travelers staying briefly.

It’s a long way from the railway station, but the room was very clean and both the staff and room service were awesome. Worth considering if the distance doesn’t bother you.
