Oyo 26964 Palm View Residency

The hotel refused to check me in because I'd booked at a cheaper price. They told me to cancel and pay double the booking amount in cash. The guy I spoke to ignored me and played a game on his phone. I contacted Makemytrip customer care and asked them to sort it out or move me to a hotel within 3 km. After an hour of discussion, they didn't solve anything and just refunded the booking amount. With no other option, I paid double in cash. Don't book here. I later found good, cheaper hotels nearby. There was no hot water, the Wi-Fi didn't work, and there was no breakfast. This is just rooms, not the kind of hotel you'd expect.

My booking for November 22 to 23 was confirmed and paid well in advance, but when I arrived, the receptionist said there was no room because the resort wasn't getting paid by OYO for advance bookings. I had to make several calls to the resort and OYO to clarify what was going on. OYO cancelled my booking from its end, and I ended up paying much more to get a room. OYO cheats customers at the last moment. If you need a confirmed stay, don't use OYO.

Just outside the property is a low section of the athirapally river where you can bathe safely. Food is only available occasionally, though there's a goodgood restau within walking distance. The waterfalls are nearly 8 km away, so a bike or car is recommended. Great value for the price, and the staff were exceptionally cooperative. Kudos, guys.

My family was refused check-in because they said the property no longer worked with oyo. They also asked for another Rs 500 for a room, even as they displayed the Oyo name and sign cheerfully. Avoid at any cost.
