The rooms were comfortable and the stay felt safe, but several basics need attention. There was no intercom to reach reception or request room service, no water was provided, and a chair and table would have been useful. The balcony and bathroom also needed better upkeep. Cleaning staff seemed limited, and maintenance was poor when I checked in.
A decent lodge overall, with working AC, parking for cars, and a helpful receptionist. It seems fairly new, though management should add some basics: there were no side tables, so eating meant sitting on the floor, and no dustbin. There was no room service either, and luggage had to stay on the floor. The wash basin wasn't placed conveniently.
The rooms felt like being shut in a closet, and there were no views. It seemed to me that a house was simply being run as a lodge, which made me wonder how that works with the licences hotels and lodges need. I'm not blaming anyone, just asking myself. Housekeeping also made no sense to me. My god...
I wouldn't book this place for an important occasion. I went in person to reserve a room, and they confirmed it, but on the check-in date I was told it had been given to another guest. I had offered to pay an advance during my visit, but management insisted I pay at check-in. Then they blamed me for not paying one. They gave me no advance notice that the room wasn't available, only telling me when I called. It completely let me down on an important day.
We had a pleasant stay and felt it was worth the money. The guest rooms are converted from 3 BHK flats in the apartment, and it's a little way from the main town. The caretaker boy was very cooperative.
