The corridors and lobby are well kept, the AC worked well in all three rooms we used, and the restaurant served quality food in a clean setting. There's a reasonable breakfast choice, though it's only South Indian, and the evening menu is good. I'm happy with this hotel as a 3* option in Pudukkottai, where higher EU standards are hard to expect. We stayed here many years ago when it was new and built to European standards, but those standards haven't been maintained. The bathrooms need a deep clean, with black mold everywhere. The TV setup could be easier too. We had to call for help because the two remotes had different settings.

We hosted a family function here and were disappointed by the poor coordination and hospitality. The package hours hadn't been clearly explained when we booked, and the AC was switched off without warning. The food fell short, especially the mutton biryani, which didn't have enough meat. Dessert service was incomplete and stopped early, and a headcount mismatch added to the confusion. The vegetarian dishes were good, but the event wasn't worth the money. Getting there was difficult too. There's only one narrow route to the hotel, and the alternate road was heavily congested. Entry arrangements were poorly managed, which likely made things uncomfortable for our guests. The rooms and floor smelled strongly of smoke, cleaning was the worst, staff response was very bad, and the cost was high for the quality. Parking and access are difficult. The party food and service were very bad, and promises were not kept. Overall, the place was not worth the money.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant, and check-in was smooth. Our room was spotless and the AC worked perfectly. Food at Hotel Saradha Grande, Pudukkottai was delicious, with good South Indian and continental choices. A wonderful stay, and a great option for families or business travelers.

It's a good spot near the shopping market. The rooms are clean and the staff behave well. They provide a water bottle and complimentary breakfast. I wish they would add a hot water kettle and tea and coffee sachets in the room.
