Fabhotel Majestic Luxurious

A simple, nice place to stay. I come every month. Breakfast is included and good, and they have other choices for lunch and dinner too.

The room was just okay, and the bed was so hard that we couldn't sleep well, especially after a long day exploring Lonavala. The restroom fan didn't work either, and there was no drinking water available. They had promised complimentary breakfast, but we never got it during our two days there. The road to the hotel is about half a kilometer from the main road and in terrible shape, full of stones that damaged our car. I'd avoid coming by car. We negotiated the room rate from ₹2200 down to ₹1700. The building seemed decent, with some greenery and pleasant music in the lift. We lost over an hour because the MakeMyTrip listing called the place "Majestic Rooms," but searching for it on the map led us to a completely different location. A disappointing stay, with problems in comfort, service, and listing accuracy.

The main thing that put me off was the extra 500 rupees they charged for early check-in, even though the room was empty. The rooms are okay, but they lack basic things. There was no electric kettle, and the set top box connection had been deactivated, so the TV was useless. The booking page said “free water,” but they tried to charge me for a bottle of bisleri. Pathetic.

The food was good, and they made a nice dish. It's 500m from the main road. The hotel is very good, but check-in starts at 11. Most of the time the hotel is occupied, so you have to wait until then. If a room happens to be vacant, you might be able to check in early.
