Hotel Shree Panchratna

The breakfast was decent, though not especially good. We had an early departure the next day, and they kindly let us have the complimentary breakfast that morning. We’d asked for an early check-in around 8:30, and got a room about an hour later. The service was good, and the suite I booked was big and spacious. Overall, a good experience.

I usually travel solo, and this hotel made the stay feel easier and safer. I booked three nights and was glad I chose it. There’s a great vibe and ambience, and everyone from the bellboy to the managers and other executives seemed well trained. They were polite and helpful, and their warm smiles made a difference. Ask for something you need, and if they have it, they’ll bring it right away. I highly recommend this place.

The hotel’s location is very convenient for travellers, right by Pune Junction and opposite the historic house where Mahatma Gandhi was once brought for treatment. It’s remarkable how well it has kept its identity. Walking in feels like stepping into a piece of Pune’s history, familiar and reassuring. It has the classic charm of a place from the 90s, with wood and brass interiors that feel simple, elegant, and timeless. I especially liked the plants displayed in clear square glass containers, a clever way to reuse old pickle jars as practical décor. The waiters are experienced, attentive, and confident in their work. At reception, the team is calm, composed, and consistently helpful. That old-school hospitality is rare now.

We held a business meeting here with more than 80 people, and the food was good. Saturday Club is a Business Networking Club. What stood out was the sound absorption: even with that many of us gathered, noise carried very little. People could talk at each table without disturbing the others. Hotels often pay attention to decor but seem to overlook acoustics, so I really liked the acoustic arrangement here.
