Le Royale Residency

The rooms are large, but dirty and poorly maintained. Drinking water came in unsealed bottles, while sealed ones cost a hefty amount, and the in-house restaurant was only sometimes available. This used to be a nice hotel with four-star service, but a few months after the management changed, it couldn’t even provide two-star service.

The corridors had ripped, dirty carpets, the rooms smelled stuffy, and there were very few amenities. We didn’t eat from the buffet, but it looked sick and unhealthy from a distance. They wouldn’t take a card, and when we paid cash, they gave us no receipt, saying they usually don’t. Don’t let the name fool you into thinking this is a high-end hotel. Going there was a big mistake.

At checkout, we got no bill. Really, there was no checkout at all, and the staff were unprofessional and untrained. We weren’t given a room key, and the premises were messy. In the morning there was no service, breakfast, or even tea. Dinner was substandard, and nobody came to clear the plates. When we asked about lunch, they said there was nothing in the restaurant they could make. I’d never heard of that happening at such a big hotel. The place felt smelly, untidy, and as if it had been abandoned for months. I’d booked because of the flashy booking app pictures and listed facilities like big rooms, a swimming pool, TT table, and indoor games. Don’t trust those images and reviews. The hotel promised a lot and failed to deliver even 10 percent of what it should have. Worst hotel I’ve ever seen.

The food was very average in both quality and quantity. To make up for our team’s complaints, we had to get fresh juices and a promise of a better place next time. The whole property feels worn out, from the cutlery and serving bowls to the pool and even the staff’s clothes. The ambience was okay, but everything looked lackluster, and there was a kind of negative energy around, nothing spooky though. Maintenance is poor and the place clearly shows its age. We came for a team lunch and found the experience limiting. Money can surely find better pockets.
