OYO 2646 Hotel Staywel Pune

There was no useful response despite my complaining several times. The Wi-Fi was effectively no service, and the bedsheets and blankets they gave us were wet. They also charged for bottled drinking water, disposable paper plates, and spoons unless you refused to pay at checkout.

It’s in a prime spot, with almost everything nearby within walking distance. Leave the car behind, though: the entrance is extremely narrow and parking is very limited. There’s a Maruti service center right next door, so expect daytime noise. The drivers around here are crazy.

A budget option for a couple of nights, with large, clean rooms and bathrooms. There’s no kettle, and tea or coffee isn’t available before 8 a.m. They also don’t provide face towels or toilet paper. It can be noisy, so light sleepers may have trouble.

The manager helped me find another hotel and drove me there himself at 2 a.m. I’m grateful to him. OYO, though, had given my booked room to someone else. Apparently they show the same room to three or four travelers, and whoever reports to the hotel first gets it. If you call OYO about your booking, they can kick you out and tell you to contact a manager, who gives the same “sorry for the inconvenience” response every time. That system is pathetic, and OYO’s managers deserve criticism.
