OYO 28092 RVC Hospitality

They charged me 350 rs for a 2.5-hour extension, which was really disappointing. At check-in, one staff member had said that extending by a few hours wasn't possible and I'd have to book a full extra day. On the second day, I told them I wanted to extend, but at 7:30 pm they called to say checkout time was over. I was out and said I'd be back by 9:30 to check out right away. When I got there, they still charged the extra fee. They had no answer for the way their staff had handled it.

The rooms were clean, with working TV and AC, and I liked the hotel overall. Check-in was the letdown. I had to wait about 15-20 minutes, and I really don't like waiting, especially when I was with my girlfriend. They should speed that up. The room was also quite small, and a little more space would be nice. I still like the place and would recommend it.

I only got my refund after I reported the situation to the police. I ended up sleeping outside that night because neither Oyo nor Make My Trip would handle the problem, each hoping the other would take the loss. The hotel had taken my Make My Trip booking, then refused to check me in because I'm a foreigner, even though that restriction wasn't disclosed there. Oyo also refused a refund despite emailing proof they'd received my money. They wouldn't relocate me unless I agreed to pay the difference at a new property, and wouldn't say how much more it would cost before I agreed. The manager said the hotel had listed the policy on the Oyo app and so wasn't at fault, despite accepting the booking through Make My Trip without disclosing it there. Both customer care teams blamed each other. Oyo asked for proof of what Make My Trip showed, and Make My Trip asked for proof Oyo refused foreigners. I sent both the evidence they requested, but Oyo still wouldn't refund me and Make My Trip still wouldn't relocate me despite the policy breach.

The AC didn't work at all, so the stay was extremely uncomfortable. I had booked online in advance, but the service was poor and the experience wasn't worth the money. It felt like a complete waste and wasn't what had been advertised. Because of this, I checked out that same evening, the day I booked. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
