OYO 75248 Shanaya Inn

After spending Rs 400 on a cab to get there, I decided not to stay because they wouldn't honor the OYO website price. They wanted double. I chose another hotel nearby, though it cost more.

I had no issue with the stay itself, but the way they handled the room and pricing is why I'm giving two stars. I needed three days and first booked one night through the OYO app. The listed price was Rs 735, though a discount coupon may have brought it to around Rs 588. I discussed it with the hotel manager and paid Rs 735. They then put me in a room with a bed broken on one side. I asked them to change it, but they didn't. For the second and third nights, I asked for another room, and they gave me one. But then the staff said they wouldn't accept the OYO rate and that I had to book directly with them. They wanted Rs 2,000 for the two days, saying OYO's prices meant they were losing money and they couldn't accept OYO bookings. I had work to do and couldn't leave, so I paid. I don't know why they refused the app price. Maybe the broken bed on the first night was because I'd booked through OYO. If they don't want OYO bookings, why register with OYO? Please look into this, OYO. If someone books at an OYO price while traveling from another city and the hotel won't honor it on arrival, what are we supposed to do?

I gave it one star because I couldn't choose a minus rating. The manager was rude and kept asking for money for everything. Even though I'd paid for air conditioning and breakfast, he said he couldn't provide them. This felt like a complete scam. Be careful, and don't book here or you may end up writing a review like mine.

We'd booked Shanaya inn through Oyo for 500 a night, and the booking was confirmed and paid for. When we arrived, they refused that rate and asked for 1200, claiming they had no partnership with Oyo. We got a scam vibe, took a refund from Oyo, and found a better hotel instead. Check all the details carefully before booking.
